The Fieldwork series, are wall-works made of repurposed commercial drywall assembled with photographs of under-construction spaces in New York City. Within each Fieldwork, the gentleness of the hand is obfuscated and suspended between purpose and accidental mark-making through the tearing of the drywall. These buildings and areas of public space vary. In this series, the photographs are of spaces used to hold construction materials due to fined contracts and “condominum” or “commercial” spaces once designated as “residential.”
